The new dates for IFAT CHINA have been set. The 3rd International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection, will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in China from 23 to 25 September 2008. Following the successful running of the event in 2006, Messe München is going to continue its involvement in the Far East and provide a business platform for environmental solutions and technologies in the Asian market in the future.

IFAT CHINA 2006 attracted 10,000 trade fair visitors from 66 countries. The fair was completely booked. A total of 284 exhibitors from 25 countries presented their products and services in the areas of water supply, sewage treatment, waste disposal, recycling, air pollution control, and natural energy sources. This represents an exhibitor increase of almost 13 percent compared to the fair in 2004. In addition to substantial German participation, there were country pavilions from Great Britain, Japan, Korea, Switzerland, the USA and China. IFAT CHINA also generated a lot of interest throughout Asia. Forty-four percent of the exhibiting countries came from Asia (China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan).
