IFAT CHINA this year
is featuring two premieres: the 'Science-Tec Area' and the 'New-Tech Area'.
These stands are presentation platforms specially for research institutions,
colleges and universities. At the
'Science-Tec Area' in Hall E5 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center,
international colleges and universities will have a chance to present their
latest projects and research findings. The Chinese universities will be doing
the same in the 'New-Tech Area' in Hall E6.
So far,
for the 'Science-Tec Area', registrations have been received from six research
establishments and universities from Germany. Among them are the University of Regensburg
(Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry), the University of the
Bundeswehr, Munich (Institute for Water
Engineering) and the Fraunhofer Applications Center
for System Technology. This universities stand is being organized by the TU
Berlin Servicegesellschaft; the contact person for universities interested in
participating is Mr. Horst-G. Meier (Dipl.-Ing.).
In total six Chinese universities
have registered for the 'New-Tech Area' initiated by Professor Dr. Edgar Schicker
of the University of Nuremberg. They
include – amongst others – the Department of Environmental Engineering of
Shanghai Normal University, the College of Environmental Science &
Engineering of Tongji University and the School of Environmental Science and Engineering of Donghua University.
Visitors
to IFAT CHINA 2008 who wish to find out about the research work and projects of
the universities, will be able to discuss issues in detail with the experts in
these areas.
For their
part the exhibitors and companies can make use of the 'Science-Tec Area' and
the 'New-Tech Area' to find out about the latest techniques and processes that
the universities are developing. Both university stands represent a unique
platform for visitors and exhibitors seeking to exchange information and make
new contacts.
Taking place in parallel with IFAT CHINA 2008 in Halls
E4 and E5 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre is the fourth analytica
China,
International Trade Fair for Analysis, Biotechnology, Diagnostics, Laboratory
Technology and Services.
