- IFAT CHINA takes place from 23 to 25 September 2008 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC)
- Key players present in Shanghai at this compact three-day forum
The concept behind IFAT CHINA 2008 has now been altered to shorten the running time to three days (from four). The next IFAT CHINA will thus be an even more concentrated platform for the international environment industry. This 3rd International Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Refuse, Recycling and Natural Energy Sources takes place from 23 to 25 September 2008 in China at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The autumn dates ensure appropriate spacing between the environmental fairs of Messe München, with IFAT taking place in Munich between 5 and 9 May 2008, explained Eugen Egetenmeir, a member of the management board of Messe München. And a concentration into three days would ensure increased communication density, providing a compact, effective forum at which to find out about the latest innovations in environmental technology and pave the way for new business.
IFAT CHINA 2008 will continue the success of the event in 2006, but as its new key visual demonstrates, it will focus even more strongly on the search for global environmental solutions.
IFAT CHINA 2006 attracted 10,000 visitors from 66 countries and all the space was fully booked – 284 exhibitors from 25 countries presented their products and services in the fields of water supply, sewage, waste disposal, recycling, air pollution control, environmental technology and environmentally compatible energy sources. This was a rise of 13 percent in exhibitor numbers, over the previous event in 2004. Germany had a strong presence, and Great Britain, Japan, Korea, Switzerland and the US all took pavilions at this event in China. Across Asia, too, IFAT CHINA attracted great interest. 44 percent of the exhibiting companies came from Asia (China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan).
